The 10th graders are investigating stereotypes of women in different religions throughout the world.  Women throughout different religions are treated differently because of their sex.  One source quotes, "Women are stereotyped by their burkas and other types of clothing in the Islamic religion."   Another source tells us that, "Women are stereotyped in Catholicism because they cannot become priests."  Throughout many religions, women are not necessarily considered inferior to men, but they don't seem superior to men.  For example, the concept of a head god is usually portrayed as male.

Through photography, the 10th graders are portraying some of these religious stereotypes.  One student is showing the suffering based off of  gender stereotypes by juxtaposing a superior-looking male and an inferior-looking, suffering woman. Once they take these photos, they will screen print them onto t-shirts.
